Women in Christ

The world is divided in so many ways. There are wars and the threat of wars in various parts of the world along with terrorist attacks of varying levels. The climate has changed in our most recent history with debates ongoing as to its cause. There are ongoing racial issues in multiple countries. COVID-19 has spread throughout the world. It has been unlike any virus we have seen in recent history in the various ways it may attack the human body. Doctors and scientists are still scratching the surface of the effects it leaves behind. And governments, churches and even families are divided about how it should be handled. The economy across the world has taken a nose dive hitting the poorest the hardest. It has left many people in isolation.

Sometimes it is hard to see “that all things work together for good” (Rom 8:28). As pointed out in “According to His Purpose”, there are two qualifiers in the promise. Oh how I desire that I, and all Christians were so much closer to being “Conformed to His Likeness.” It is a lifetime goal, and struggle, but we must strive to follow after the example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit is the source, but each aspect of that fruit is an action to be taken by me. I have to exercise these qualities. I can't expect God to be gentle for me or to be kind for me....more

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
