In his book, “Seven Days that Divide the World”, John Lennox states:
One of the most basic big questions we can ask is, what is the nature of ultimate reality? The central tenet of the biblical worldview is that the ultimate reality is God: “In the beginning God …” Genesis is here making a profound truth-claim: that there is a God. The claim is first stated without any supporting evidence — a circumstance that should not mislead us into deducing that the author of Genesis had no evidence. Both Genesis and the rest of the Bible will subsequently offer that evidence. However, the very manner in which Genesis begins reminds us that every worldview must start somewhere. The Biblical worldview begins with God; the atheist worldview begins with the universe. 1
In this month's issue, we come from the perspective, “In the Beginning God…”
“Men Are Without Excuse” in both believing in God and learning about Him and His plans for us through His Word.
Some people will refuse to believe in God, despite what they see. Timothy Keller states, “All doubts, however skeptical and cynical they may seem, are really a set of alternate beliefs. … The reason you doubt Christianity's Belief A is because you hold unprovable Belief B. Every doubt, therefore, is based on a leap of faith.“2
Come join us as we start a series of who God is. This month we learn of God as Creator.

Even though God's existence and greatness is evident in his creation and in the Holy Scriptures so all who look can know, those who know God are called upon to speak, to let other people know by word, or by silent conduct, and changed lives about God so others, also, can praise God. ...more
The greatest gifts God has to give us are love, faith and hope (1 Corinthians 13:13). We are further told “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6a). Notice, we do not have to “work up” any of these gifts, because they are gifts produced in us by the Holy Spirit which ripen over time and experience (Galatians 5:22-26). ...more
