I know God exists. Let me be absolutely clear. I am talking about the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. There is no God besides this God. There is no way to God except through his son Jesus or apart from the Holy Spirit sent to be in us and with us as our Helper (Genesis 1:1-2; John 1:1-18).
My goal is not to “prove” to you God exists because he has already shown himself to us. We can either accept him or deny him—that is everyone's choice. If you choose to deny God's existence, these efforts of mine to introduce him to you is doomed to fail (Psalm 19:1-14; Psalm 50:1-23; Romans 1:18-32).
But if you want to know how God describes himself, you must read the Holy Scriptures which from the first book of Genesis through the end of the book of Revelation tells all you need to know about him (Luke 24:44-49.; 2 Timothy 3:14-17).
My goal is not to “prove” to you that the Scriptures are inspired, true and will never fail. They speak for themselves. Those who read these ancient writings will be made uncomfortable by the reflection of our own evil hearts. But once we acknowledge our sins, God has given comfort to those who want to return to the Creator God (James 1:21-25; Matthew 7:21-23; John 3:5-21; Romans 8:1-4).
Sin is a concept mostly rejected by this world's society even though the effects of those sins are being experienced and producing suffering all around the earth. Sin and the trouble and suffering it causes will not end until God has finished the work he began (Romans 8:18-25; Revelation 21:1-8; Revelation 22:1-21).
Don't wait until it's too late for you to return to God.
