Women in Christ

The year 2020 has been a challenge on so many levels, and the major issues are not going to go away any time soon. As with many difficult years in mankind's past, there are many speculations that the end of this age and the return of Christ is near. It is surely possible, but then Jesus had told his disciples, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only” (Matthew 24:36 ESV).

We don't know if we will be alive when Christ actually returns, but even so we would be wise to follow Jesus' advice to his disciples, “So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him” (Matthew 24:44 ESV).

So this month, we will examine what it means to “Be Ready” and how we can “Stay Dressed for Action.”

Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them.
