I don't know about you, but I'm always second guessing myself. Should I have said that? Should I have done that? Maybe, I should have chosen differently? Yes, occasionally doubts try to make inroads into my faith. But then, I remember what I know. I have a Helper who brings to mind what I have temporarily forgotten:

We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
1 John 4:13-14

The entire book of 1 John reminds us "we know" and how it is "we know". We know because of the testimony of the eye witnesses. We know because of the love we do have for one another. We know because the Holy Spirit is transforming us from the inside out. We know because the Father loves us and hears and answers us. We know because we love the Father's instructions which are given to us for our good. We know because we see the results of doing it his way; and we also see the consequences of doing it our way.

We know because we hear his voice and know the Lord is near.
