Youth are encouraged today to "follow their heart." In many areas of our society today, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ along with the Scriptures he inspired has been rejected. Without the guidance of God and his word, people have turned to their own hearts to guide their life decisions.

God mourned over ancient Israel's lack of heart motivation to follow him (Deuteronomy 5:29). Jesus mourned over Jerusalem (Luke 19:41-44). It is God’s heart's desire that none perish so he has provided a way for all to turn from following the sinful cravings of the human heart to following him with all their hearts.

The promise is for us and our children, for descendants of Israel and the descendants out of all nations (Acts 2:38-41). By turning to God through his Son Jesus the Messiah, the Christ, anyone from anywhere can receive God's promised gift of his Holy Spirit and a new heart able to trust and obey him so we might be given life now and forever.
