| I am dedicating this month's issue to
Polly Burrows, a dear friend of mine, who recently died of cancer.
She was one of those dear comforts and treasures that God sends me. He has always blessed me with special friends when I needed them most. Polly was the best of Martha and Mary rolled into one. She always made people feel welcomed whether in her home or sitting down next to her after church services to have a conversation. But, eager to learn, she also sat at Jesus' feet. I so much enjoyed the last full day I spent with her. Despite her pain, she wanted to share what she had been studying. Her eyes at first seemed dull from the pain, but lit up as she guided me from verse to verse. She did not tell me what to think, but pointed at various verses knowing the Holy Spirit would guide me to what God was saying. One of the gifts Polly gave me that day was a simple tool to use when studying God's word. I share that with you in this month's activity, "Weigh the Verses." Thank you, Father, for Polly and all the
special people who are your blessings to this world.
