Relationships can at times be difficult. We recently reorganized at the center where I work. I was put under one of the, shall I say, most unpopular managers. Many people have come up to those of us assigned to him to give their condolences. He could easily be described as one of those difficult people that Robert Bramson talks about, as mentioned in the Book Review this month. (I definitely need to get a copy of that book to read.)

I have decided to print out a copy of the St. Francis prayer to place in my cubicle for inspiration.

This situation will definitely help to build some character as I strive to follow God's way. It will take prayer, self control and careful thought to "make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification."

I hope this edition will help some of you as it will me.

On a brighter note, I would like to offer praise to our Lord Jesus. Virginia, whom I mentioned in last month's Response from Readers, had successful eye surgery. Her sight has been greatly improved.
