Women in Christ (logo) Notes from Nancy

I have always liked the name the Christians were first given: those who “belonged to the Way.” (Acts 9:2) To me, it is a picture word that indicates a way of life that is noticeable to others. Those who belonged to the Way did more than just keep the letter of the law. They followed Jesus, “the way and the truth and the life.” (John 14:6) Their godliness showed, as should ours.

In Train to be Godly, Scarlett Stough points out, “When we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2), we are practicing godliness.”

In our continuing series on 2 Peter 1:5-7, our Bible Study Guide, “And to Perseverance, Godliness”, examines the characteristic of godliness.

In addition to our book review, we have included a movie review of “Fireproof.” In our Abundance of the Heart, one reader shares a more personal review of the movie.

I do apologize for the issue being late, but an extended vacation and other personal issues, caused the delay.

Come join us as we add to perseverance, godliness.
