It is hard to believe the Women in
Christ website is going into its seventh year. This is a small ministry.
Basically it is Scarlett and I with some extra contributors here and there.
Scarlett does the bulk of the work. I just serve as an editor and do the technical work.
We have been through many joys, sorrows and
trials through the years, as I am sure, many of you have also. Between
the two of us, there has been the joy of the birth of grandchildren, sorrow
at the death of a parent, the anxiety of having a spouse with a life
threatening medical condition and a child serving overseas in the Iraq war,
just to name a few. Through it all God has been there with us.
We feel that it has been a wonderful
blessing from God to be able to present this site monthly.
Many times when the deadline has been close, God has provided the
needed inspiration, contributions from others, and time to get the website
up.
I am not able to tell how many regular
readers we have and how many may only make a brief stop at the site. With
the internet you do not get direct feedback with everyone, so it is hard to
tell. I hope you, as I have, been inspired by the many women of the Bible
that Scarlett has brought to life in her commentaries.
At various times and circumstances in
our lives, we don’t always feel loved. Such was the case of
Leah.
This month we examine God’s involvement in her life and the lives
around her. Leah said, “The LORD Has Seen My Misery” and in the Bible Study Guide we examine how
that applies in our own lives.
