Few of us will ever be in the
position Junias was. Today some Christians are imprisoned for teaching
the good news of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In the Western world, though,
they are few in number.
Paul commended Andronicus
and Junias, mentioning that they, too, had been imprisoned with him.
I do not ever foresee myself being imprisoned since I live in a nation
that proclaims freedom of religion. We do have hardships. Jesus said we
would.
As Kristine Lowder shares in her poem,
What
I Wanted, life is not always smooth sailing.
Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone
would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow
me." Matthew 16:24
