Communication is an important
tool in sharing the gospel with others.
On the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit
came upon Jesus' followers, he gave them the gift of "speaking in tongues."
This enabled the disciples to communicate the gospel message in the native
tongues (languages) of the people from other areas of the world who were
gathered at Jerusalem.
Today, perhaps a different communication
gift is needed to share God's gospel to be able to communicate there is
a different way of life that God offers us all.
How does a person who never went hungry,
cold or destitute a day in her life reach a person who has been poor, neglected
and abused all of her life? Or how does a person who is not rich in material
goods explain to a person who is surrounded by exorbitant material goods
that there is a way of life that provides greater riches than the material
things surrounding them?
God blesses the Body (the church) with
spiritual gifts for a purpose, "You
Will Be My Witnesses."
Come join us as we examine one aspect of
the gifts God gives to accomplish his purpose.
