Notes from Nancy

Jesus healed many people during his ministry, yet they all eventually died. These bodies are temporary; no way around it. But there was more behind the healings than a temporary regaining of health.
“Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, `Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, `Get up, take your mat and walk'?” Mark 2:9
In the commentary, A Woman Was There, we examine the woman’s healing and her example of faith. The Bible Study Guide examines the blessing we can receive from Jesus.

An Invader Corrupted My Body compares the damage of potentially deadly disease to sin. The author asks, “How does our Heavenly Father feel as he sees us destroying ourselves with sinful, addictive behavior? “

In That I May Receive My Sight, the author examines a lesson we can learn from Bartimaeus, a blind man that called out to the “Son of David.”

In our Youth section is Aloe of God, an essay that people of all ages should read. In this season of examination of ourselves, we are reminded how we all fall short and how much we need to be covered by the sacrifice that Jesus made for us.

As we reflect on the season of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, let us be reminded of God’s great mercy and the spiritual healing that He offers us.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
