Our Sister Phoebe is an example of service for us to follow. Phoebe, according to some commentaries, held a prominent office in the early church. She braved a long journey in service to Paul when traveling was not easy. 

Most of us do not serve others in an obvious prominent way. We may be serving our family in giving care to our children. Some of us may not be physically able to do much, but we can serve by sending cards of encouragement to others and most importantly by praying for others. 

The most important example that Phoebe shows us is what our character and attitude should be as we willingly serve God and others with the opportunities He gives us.
