Notes from Nancy |
| We live in a busy society. Many of us
women work outside of the home in addition to our responsibilities in the
home. Often those who do not work outside of the home have young ones to
care for, home school or do other work while at home to supplement the
household income.
This issue focuses on being a disciple, a student of Jesus. Jesus corrected Martha for making extensive preparations for her guests. He said she should have kept it simple, "fixed one dish," so she would have more time to learn. How do you make time to be a student? I realize our readership is small since the web site just started in January, (2002), But I would love for you to share your ideas. I will publish them over the next few months to share with our readers.* I will get things started with one I use. I recently changed jobs that lengthened my commute to 50 minutes in the morning to over an hour in the evening. I bought the Bible on CD and listen to it during part of my commute. Although it is not the same as studying the Bible, sometimes hearing the words helps me to consider things in a different light. I hope to receive your suggestions or any
comments concerning articles or studies on the web site. Please send them
to comments@womeninchrist.org
