Notes from Nancy |
| II Timothy 3:16-17 states, “All Scripture
is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training
in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for
every good work.” As is the case with so many examples in the Bible, the
short story about the young captive girl from Israel and Naaman is packed
full of lessons.
Naaman shows us the importance of our actions. The Abundance of the Heart article, “I Go, Sir” explores this thought further. We might initially resist God’s message, but it is our action that matters. We learn that God sometimes speaks through a small voice. We must be willing to listen to Him. We also learn from the young captive that we must be willing to speak up and be that voice despite our circumstances. “Are You Listening to God” exhorts us to listen to God, even when the source of the message is unusual. Scarlett also shares with us her prayer on election day.
