| Discipline is critical to a child's growth
and safety. If they do not learn not to run out into the street or not
to turn the knobs on the stove, the consequences can be harmful, if not
deadly.
We discipline a child in many ways. We may verbally warn them or give them a time out. When the consequences of breaking one the rules causes hurt to the child, we gently remind him or her of the warnings and instructions we gave them. We show them if they had obeyed the rules, they would not have been hurt. So it is in our Christian lives. We start out as babes in Christ and grow to maturity. God would not leave us alone without guidance anymore than we would leave a child alone. Thankfully, as a loving parent, God disciplines
