For many of us, we wonder why God called us. Who are we and what can we accomplish? Then we learn that God called those that are not powerful, not influential, not going to amount to much, not wise in the world's eyes. (I Corinthians 1:26-29)

God waited until Abraham and Sarah were 100 and 90 years old, respectively, to give them the promised child to show His power. He was the one to make it happen. So he chose us to display His power.

Sometimes we too laugh at God and think it is not possible. We try, as Sarah did with Hagar, to accomplish things ourselves. We learn that it does not work.

We must let go and let God do the things He wants to accomplish through us. We have only to follow God's word and He will do the rest.
