Notes from Nancy |
| "What! Me a teacher!
I don't think so." The issue this month focuses on teaching. Every one
of us are teachers. Whether male or female, not matter what race or religion.
Every day our actions teach people who we are and what we believe in. People are more likely to follow teachings they have seen put into action, rather than what they have only heard. You have probably heard the saying, "Actions speak louder than words." One of my favorite Christian sayings is, "I preach the gospel, and sometimes I even speak." When people get serious and really want to know something, they are going to go to the one they see putting their beliefs into action. Then they will be ready to hear what we have to say. Peter calls this to our attention. "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." I Peter 3:15-16 So what are you teaching?
