| "Love, Sex, and Lasting Relationships"
is the talk I never received from my parents, nor was I able to give to
my children. I knew how to tell them what was wrong, but I didn't know
how to tell them how to do it right.
Chip Ingram goes beyond telling us what not to do, and gives what he calls, "God's prescription for enhancing your love life." He contrasts the "Hollywood formula" for a lasting relationship with God's way. He gives examples of those who did it the wrong way, but continues through out reminding us of God's grace. He reminds us that it is not too late to change. He gives personal evaluation questions at the end of each chapter which help to reinforce each chapter. His writing is easy to read. He gives practical
advice for the young, unmarried, married, widowed, divorced and even those
who may feel severely damaged by a chain of broken relationships. Although
he gives contrasts along the way between God's way and Hollywood's way,
the focus of the book is not on what not to do, but what
to
do.
