The Cup By Stephanie Downard Lord, this is more than I can bear Let this cup pass from me. The bills are piling, and my health is failing Let this cup pass from me. I have too much work and not enough time Let this cup pass from me. I pray so hard, but I can't hear you Let this cup pass from me. God says: I will not test you above your abilities Child pass your cup to me. Healing and blessings if you do what I ask Child pass your cup to me. I created time for you, will you give me yours Child pass your cup to me. I hear your prayers and I'm always there Child pass your cup to me. Jesus prayed, O my father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt. Jesus took that cup for me. He died on the cross, so I could be forgiven Jesus took that cup for me. Now it's my turn to walk his same path Jesus took that cup for me. Passover has come and atonement is made Brother pass that cup to me. I'll follow his example, let me wash your feet Brother pass that cup to me. I'll take of his body and of his blood Brother pass that cup to me To be in God's kingdom with the people I love Brother pass that cup to me. My cup runneth over, Amen.
