Singing a New Song by Scarlett Stough

I began using a daily devotional during my time for prayer in the mornings. The title is The Songs of Jesus written by Timothy Keller with his wife Kathy Keller. The January 18th portion gives insights on Psalm 12:1-8 along with a prayer. The prayer motivated me to want to make this my "resolution" not just for this year, but the rest of my life.

"Make my words honest and true, economical and few, wise and well chosen, calm and kind. Give me so much love and grace that this kind of conversation comes naturally to me." –Timothy and Kathy Keller.

So I want to "sing a new song" with a prayer that God will accept their prayer as my own as I try to live out another Psalm—33.

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; It is fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice, the earth is full of his unfailing love.
Psalm 33:1-5

I want to thank the Kellers who wrote this beautiful prayer. I want to praise God for the people he calls to proclaim his Good News. I want to praise God for his word, right and true, and for the Good News of Jesus. May all his people continue to sing this song.
